Casio Oceanus OCW-S7000AP-1A and OCW-T2600AP-1A Limited Edition with Titanium and Sapphire Crystal

The Casio Oceanus OCW-S7000AP-1A and OCW-T2600AP-1A represent a fusion of cutting-edge Japanese horological technology and traditional artistry. Both timepieces are special limited editions centered on the theme "Indigo Ocean," which utilizes "Awa-Indigo," a rare, natural indigo dye from Tokushima Prefecture, Japan.

The manufacturing process for Awa-ai is remarkably labor-intensive, requiring artisans to extract indigo pigments from thousands of kilograms of raw leaves to produce a small quantity of concentrated "sediment indigo." This specific natural pigment is used to color the sub-dials of both models, creating deep, sophisticated blue hues that capture the shifting appearance of the ocean.

Casio Oceanus “Manta” OCW-S7000AP-1A

The OCW-S7000AP-1A belongs to the prestigious Manta series, which is defined by its pursuit of slimness, elegant form, and high-quality finishing. Its case dimensions are 47.5 millimeters in length, 42.8 millimeters in width, and a remarkably thin 9.5 millimeters in thickness. The watch is constructed from titanium with a titanium carbide finish, and it features a striking sapphire glass bezel ring with a blue gradient deposition, while the bezel itself is coated in a sophisticated navy ion plating.

The dial is particularly noteworthy, featuring a wave-inspired pattern that reacts to light from different angles, complemented by sub-dials crafted from white mother-of-pearl, which offers a soft, iridescent luster beneath the deep indigo coloring. The watch is protected by dual-curved sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, ensuring superior clarity.

Functionally, it is highly advanced, offering tough solar charging, multi-band 6 radio time calibration, and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity for seamless world time adjustments and location tracking. It maintains a 10-bar water resistance and weighs approximately 83 grams, making it exceptionally lightweight and comfortable for daily wear. This model is limited to 1,300 pieces worldwide and will be released in May, 2026, priced at ¥264,000.

Casio Oceanus OCW-T2600AP-1A

The OCW-T2600AP-1A, part of the Classic Line, shares the same "Indigo Ocean" concept and Awa Indigo color scheme but presents it in a more traditional, robust design. This model has a case measuring 48.2 millimeters in length, 42.8 millimeters in width, and a thickness of 10.7 millimeters. Like its counterpart, it is crafted from titanium with a durable titanium carbide treatment and a navy ion-plated bezel that anchors the overall color profile.

The dial incorporates the same wave-patterned aesthetic and utilizes white mother-of-pearl for the sub-dials, which are also hand-colored using the precious Awa pigment. The watch is equipped with dual-curved sapphire glass that features anti-reflective coating to minimize glare. While it lacks the Bluetooth smartphone connectivity found in the Manta series, it remains a highly practical instrument featuring tough solar power and multi-band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping.

It is also rated for 10-bar water resistance and, with a weight of 90 grams, offers a slightly more substantial feel on the wrist compared to the ultra-thin Manta model. This model is limited to 800 pieces in Japan and will be released in May, 2026, priced at ¥154,000.

Both watches include a titanium metal bracelet with a slide-adjustable one-push three-fold clasp, ensuring a secure and personalized fit for the wearer. Ultimately, these models celebrate the intersection of heritage craftsmanship and modern precision, providing a distinct, elegant aesthetic that honors Japanese cultural history through the lens of sophisticated horological engineering.
